Our Mission: A major ammunition supplier contacted Neff to build (2) presses capable of up-acting with 50 tons of force to be implemented in a new assembly line in the Midwest.

Our Solution: Neff Press Inc designed and manufactured (2) 50ton H-Series four post press with the following specifications: Overall system footprint 38” x 30” x 48” Tall. The distance between the posts was 18” L-R x 7.5” F-B. The press had 15” daylight, 6” stroke, and a work height of 28.5”. The press used a remote 5hp power unit with an operator station and control enclosure mounted on the side of the power unit for system consolidation.

The press controls system consisted of an Allen Bradley PLC. Neff provided Dual Anti-Tie down controls, pressure reversal control on extend and retract, and auto single stroke programmed to enable the press to be a slave to customer’s auxiliary automation.
